Co-working spaces can be hard to find as a freelance worker or business owner. Kitchin Table is a free app that aims to empower and build networks of females by letting them host or join someone’s working space in their home. You can filter co-working spaces by location, skills or interests and meet like-minded workers.
HOW THEY’RE DISRUPTING
Kitchin Table’s extra layer of community means that their service not only provides a place to work, but encourages positive networking and discussion with other female entrepreneurs. The app is also pay-as-you-go, getting rid of monthly fees and allowing flexibility.
In the UK, 58% of workers say they feel they would work more productively and efficiently, and felt more motivated if they could work outside of their office. Offering co-working space can also help build female entrepreneurs; who in 2015 contributed £3.15bn to the UK economy.
INVESTMENTS AND FUTURE
Kitchin Table is set to launch in May 2018, and were recently selected as top 30 start-ups to watch at SXSW conference in Texas. They have no disclosed funding.
